Ku Saabsan Qoraaga

Abdiqani Aden is the preeminent chronicler of modern Somaliland’s political evolution, whose rigorous academic training underpins his historiographical method. Holding a Master’s in International Relations and Diplomacy from Kampala International University (2019) and dual Bachelor’s degrees in Law (INTI International University, Malaysia) and Islamic Studies (Gollis University, Somaliland), he brings multidisciplinary precision to analyzing Gudgude’s political philosophy.

This scholarly foundation informs his definitive biographies—including Cabdiraxmaan Axmed Cali (Tuur): First President of Somaliland, "Ibraahin Koodbuur: Halgen iyo Haladayg." 2024, and DAMAL: The People’s Struggle and Cabdiqaadir Koosaar’s Vision—which have reshaped understanding of the Somali National Movement’s ideological origins.

As editor of constitutional discourse texts like Labo Isma Saarin and justice system analyses such as Miisaanka Caddaaladda, Abdiqani’s work consistently reveals how Islamic jurisprudence, customary law (xeer), and postcolonial statecraft converge. His trilingual scholarship (Somali/Arabic/English) and international conference presentations bridge academic and public intellectual traditions.
